about
"This song was one of those explosions from the dark, drunken taverns of the psyche, and it was written in about 10 minutes. I went out that night for a taste, and Heather Rae was singing in the club with who would later be The Dusty Bottom Girls. I was stunned by that voice, later introduced myself and asked if she would sing on this track. We banged it out--the song--and now she our Pullwoman. The end."

lyrics
tell me more about where you've been
tell me more about you and him
my hand is getting really heavy on the pour
I'm fixing to settle the score
I've been waiting for you to come back home
You want to know where i've been
I've been out with another
You know him as johnny boy
i know him as your brother
i've been waiting for you to come around
I'm going to have a word with that boy
And see if what your saying is a lie
If that story doesn't check out
I'll cock back my .45
i've been waiting for you to come back home
You want to know if we've been kissing
and if he touched me there
maybe i was talking about you
and how you no longer care
i've b een waiting for you to come around
if you could see yourself
you'd understand why im with someone else, oh love
your voice in my head, please tell me, please tell me this isn't the end
it's all in my head, please tell me please tell me it's all in my . . .
you see what happens when you leave me alone
you get all crazy twisted in the day
won't you please just come back to me
you better get on your knees and say
i've been waiting
you are always asking of me
i've b een waiting
i think it's time i ask of you
i've been waiting
if you gonna get on your knees
i've been waiting
you better give me a wedding ring
